Why flies? They're not pleasant, charming or even hygienic. Indeed, I'm not fancy of them. If you're looking for some crazy entologic blog- it's not a right place. But it doesn't mean that it isn't crazy at all.
I got up with idea of this blog while reading some news about an electronic flyswat- you know, something that is connected with 230 V and made a fly powder. Nice, useful toy, cause everybody find flyes annoying. It is not that we hate them- not like mosquitoes- we just don't care.
Housefly (Musca domestica) lives four weeks. After four weeks it doesn't have enough resources to get through another day. This species may have lived at Earth for 200 bilions years, but of course, as some people arque, it cannot existed at this time, because the Earth was born 4.000 years before Christ. And if you doesn't agree with that you're fighting with stance of Very Powerful Communities, so be aware.
Flies are active at days. At nights, however, they rest in buildings on floors, walls or cellings- it depends if they are sober or...less sober. They are cosmopolitans, but usually don't leave area with a source of food. Everyday there's more housefly births than people in the world. In fact, they are much more numerous because they prevent people's generation growing by their biological weapon- cholera, polio, typhoid fever- not very kind of them.
As you've already seen, it's not entologic blog. I'm keen on this little species that can fly anywhere, but usually fly to honey. Sometimes I think it's the best creature ever made, the most powerful, inteligent and altruistic.
And sometimes I'm looking for flyswat.
